Varuna, the National Writers House invites writers living in regional New South Wales and the greater Sydney area* to apply for a two-week residency at this historic home in the Blue Mountains. Writers who have been awarded a LitLink Fellowship have said:
‘Beautiful setting, inspiring house – home of Eleanor Dark, the library is vast, the food magnificent, room and writing areas fantastic – where else could all this happen’;
‘Quite overwhelming, enthusiastic comments and very generous advice from a very experienced published author inspires an aspiring writer no end’;
and ‘To be able to write without interruption is a unique experience; it allows absorption into the process of writing of your whole self, mind and body (and no need to cook!).
Funded by Arts NSW, Varuna offers five LitLink Fellowships to writers working in all creative forms, including fiction, drama, poetry and narrative non-fiction.
Residency dates for 2017 are 11-24 September.
