The Gleebooks Prize will be made to the outstanding book of critical writing. In this context, ‘critical writing' denotes books which present an analytical, critical or theoretical perspective on subject areas including the arts, literature and philosophy; politics, current affairs and history; and the media, journalism and cultural studies. Entries may be focussed on one area of criticism, or may be cross-disciplinary. It is expected that they will encourage and inform public debate.
